Bürgermeister Einsetzungsfeier in Naranjal

Bjarne und die Aché wurden zur Einsetzungsfeier des neu gewählten Bürgermeisters in Naranjal eingeladen.
Puerto Barra gehört zu dem Verwaltungsbezirk dieser Kommune.
Wir sind auch mit gekommen, es gab viele Ansprachen und auch musikalische Beiträge in der Stadthalle,
jeder im Ort konnte kommen. Dann wurde dem Bürgermeister ein Eid abgenommen und er hat auch um Gottes Hilfe gebeten.
Danach gab es gratis Mittagessen und Getränke für alle.

Der neue Bürgermeister ist jung und sympathisch, Bjarne stellt ihn uns vor.
Später des Tages treffen wir ihn zufällig nochmal auf der Straße und er erkennt uns wieder und grüßt uns, sehr nett.
Naranjal ist ein kleiner Ort (etwa 3000 Einwohner), sehr persönlich und offen.
Gut ein paar Kontakte hier zu haben.

Interessant ist, das man dem bei dieser Feier etwa abspühren konnte, wo die Politik gemacht wird.
Es gab die lange geschmückte Tafel des Bürgermeisters und der Stadtvertreter, und am Tisch neben uns zwei drei Herren mit Hüten, die schon früh angefangen haben Whiskey zu trinken (der dem normalen Bürger hier vielleicht ein Wochenlohn kostet?!).
Und hin und wieder setzt sich mal jemand zu ihnen und es wird geplaudert auch der Bürgermeister geht dort mal vorbei.
Soviel zu unserer subjektiven Wahrnehmung.
Aber Bjarne bestätigt etwas davon, es sind Multimillionäre mit großen Farmen um Naranjal.
Und die sind immer noch klein gegen die internationalen Firmen, die nicht in so einer kleinen Stadt auftauchen.

New Major in Naranjal

Bjarne and the Aché got an invitation to the new elected major of Naranjal.
Puerto Barra belongs to the area of that town.
We came along as well, it was a big celebration with a lot of speeches and musical entertainment, everybody in town could come.
The major gave a vow and mentioned god in it.
Afterwards was free food, soft-drinks and beer for everyone.

The new major is young and likable, Bjarne introduces us to him.
Later the day we meet him somewhere in town again, and he remembers and greets us, thats nice.
Naranjal is a small town (about 3000 inhabitants), very personal and kind.
Good for us to get some contacts here.

An interesting observation of ours is, where politics are really made.
There was a long nice decorated board for the major and the city council.
And on the table next to us, two to three man with hats, they started with some whiskey quite early (a bottle for about a week income of an average person here?!)
From time to time someone sits down with them and chats a little bit, the major as well.
So much about our subjective view.
To our observation Bjarne mention, that these multi million dollar gentlemen own big farms around Naranjal.
But they are still small compared to the international companies, which do not show up in such a small town.
